The Fredericksburg Area Baptist Association desires serves to serve the Body of Christ in the Greater Fredericksburg Area as a resource center for healthy church growth. The great majority of our services, books and tapes are not specific to the Baptist tradition and deal with universal Biblical principles applicable to healthy growth of any Biblically based, Evangelical church. If you are a Christian leader serving the Greater Fredericksburg Area, we are here to assist you in fulfilling your vision.

We are composed of over 50 churches with more than 25,000 members in the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline and the cities of Fredericksburg and Colonial Beach. Our congregations are multi-racial and multi-ethnic with worship in many styles, languages, and cultures. They are members of several state conventions as well as several national conventions. We have assisted in the beginning of 12 churches in the last ten years with plans for several others to reach the burgeoning population. We also have birthed Olde Forge Junction, which is seeking to transform that community with Christ’s love.

Our congregations also have a heart for the world. Each year hundreds participate in mission trips to many places in Virginia and the United States as well as countries on every continent.

We are especially focused this year on the Caribbean, Italy, and Maine. We have hosted World Changers and Impact Virginia in our area and sponsored a World Changers trip to Puerto Rico. We also participate in disaster relief wherever there is need.

The staff of the association, consisting of those who work at the association resource center in Chatham Square Office Park, are available to help our member churches as consultants in their field of expertise. Additionally, the staff and members of our churches share their knowledge and skills with one another in the belief that whatever strengthens the Kingdom of God strengthens each church.

FABA is committed that every person will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel in a form that they can understand and respond to. We are focused on being faithful to Jesus Christ and sharing Christ’s love with our world.
